Install Jelly Bean 4.3 CyanFox custom ROM on Galaxy S2 I9100

You probably haven’t heard of this tool by now. But the new firmware is undoubtedly awesome. This ROM is fully endowed with the goodies courtesy of Android 4.3 version. And is delivers all of them in style, smoothness, stability and greatness. By landing this tool on your Galaxy S2 I9100, your smartphone will bask in the tweaks, new features, performance enhancement options, better battery life and such that make the CyanFox so lovely.

Requirements

In case you want to start the tutorial but don’t know how: please begin by reading some requirements. Here they are:
- root the Galaxy S2;
- make a backup of every single data you wish to preserve;
- download Google Apps from this place and after that (file name: CyanFox-0.94-20130923-EXPERIMENTAL-i9100.zip) on your notebook;
- charge the battery that comes together with your handset;
- turn on USB Debugging on your Samsung I9100 by going to Settings, choosing Applications, tapping Development, looking for the USB Debugging option and selecting it.
The pre-requisites you just discovered in the previous paragraph are all very important. So make sure you do what they tell you to. Only after you are done with them can you start updating your phone.
Instructions
- Our tutorial begins with the first step that asks you to plug the Galaxy S2 to your laptop, then do this: go where you saved the two packages from the previous requirements and, after you find them, take them one by one to the SD card root of your smartphone and end this step by unplugging the I9100 to your notebook.
- Then make sure the phone is not turned on anymore, since you will need to boot it in this mode: Recovery.
- The road to the Recovery Mode begins and continues as shown here: press and hold, simultaneously, Volume Up and Home and, while you do this, power the phone on.
- [sc name=”banner-jos”]Next thing to do: opt for Factory Reset/Wipe Data and then select Wipe Cache Partition. Then be sure to choose Install zip from SD card. Move on by opting for the following: Choose zip from SD card.
- Install the update file by choosing it, then confirm and wait. The process should be over after no more than a few minutes. So choose the following option after the flashing ends: Go Back.
- Now opt for the restarting option. The Jelly Bean 4.3 CyanFox custom firmware is in the device’s “About Phone“. You will find this option after you tap your phone’s “Settings“. Should the tutorial go badly, as in your phone remains in boot loop or freezes, you need to do this: remove the battery, put it back in and then redo the tutorial step by step.
