ASUS MeMo Pad ME172V Available in the U.S. for $149.99
Asus and their MeMo Pad ME172V are arriving in the U.S. for a price of just $149.99.
Asus have recently announced that they will bring a new budget-friendly tablet in the U.S. Its $149.99 selling price will no doubt attract many potential buyers. Especially since Google’s Nexus 7 model is more expensive by $50.
The most important specs of the MeMo Pad ME172V are its 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 1 GB of RAM, a 1 GHz single-core VIA WM8950 processor, 16 GB of internal storage, a Mali 400 GPU, a 4,270 mAh battery and one microSD card slot. The latter is something that the Google Nexus 7 does not sport. The tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and ships with a 1.3-megapixel camera.
Let’s now have a look at the colors, weight and body dimensions of the Asus MeMo Pad ME172V. This gadget can sport the following colors: pink, white or gray. It is 13 ounces heavy and measures 7.7 x 4.6 x 0.4 inches.

The above specifications are not as high-end as what the Nexus 7 is currently offering. Furthermore, recent tests have shown that the Google creation performs much better than the Asus rival. However, the very cheap price of the MeMo Pad ME172V 16 GB tablet will make it an irresistible deal for many people who can’t buy the Nexus 7.
If you go over to stores such as GameStop, Amazon and many others, you will find this tablet on sale already. And, since the gadget will be launched in North America, the manufacturer has organized a contest where you can win a MeMo Pad ME172V. What to do to be among the winners? Simply go to the Asus Campus Life official site and check out the details which will tell you what to do to enter the contest. The competition is available if you live in Canada or the U.S.
