How to Update Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE SM-N7505L to Android 4.3 UBUBND2

Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE (Latin) SM-N7505L will have access to a great deal of novelties with a fresh new Android 4.3 version. It’s easy to update your smartphone to it. The procedure is discussed in our post below.

Android 4.3 UBUBND2 is new firmware. It was launched for Peru somewhere this month. You won’t enjoy it if you install it on another phone. In case your device isn’t the Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N7505L, you’ll brick it if you update with this firmware.

After you have the new firmware on your phone, its battery is going to last more. The upgrade is also able to deliver zero viruses and plenty of new features. Customization tweaks together with new apps are possible, as well.

What isn’t possible is an upgrade with Samsung’s KIES. This is where OTA can be used; but only if there’s stock ROM on your phone. Also, your smartphone is going to experience some problems if it has root access. Updating the device to the latest Android version will wipe its system partition and revoke root access. But the procedure won’t delete important data or damage the handset’s internal / external SD cards.Galaxy-Note-3-Lite-SM-N7505

Prerequisites

If you really want an updated smartphone, you have to first discover these requirements:

  • a backup is always needed should you want to keep your phone’s data from harm;
  • you’ll find a full NANDroid backup very helpful later on, so make one as well;
  • the Samsung SM-N7505L has to have a full battery;
  • download, on your notebook, the kind of USB drivers that are available here for your smartphone;
  • turn off, on the phone, the security software it features;
  • make sure to turn on USB Debugging on the phone;
  • disable, on your laptop, the security programs running on it;
  • use a laptop with Windows on it.

Step by step instructions

When these pre-requisites are completed and the phone is ready for the Android 4.3 UBUBND2, you can download, on your laptop, two packages.

  1. The first of them is Odin v3.09 and is available here. The second one is we mentioned before. Your notebook must have Odin v3.09.exe launched on it. But first, unzip the packages with WinZip. The file we just mentioned will appear at the end of the extraction.
  2. If you’ve already opened the Odin v3.09.exe, enter the Galaxy smartphone in Download Mode. This is done using the steps coming up now: press and hold Home, Power and Volume Down at the same time and, once a boot message pops up, let go of them and just press Volume Up.
  3. This time, make sure you create a connection between the two devices with the USB cord of your handset. Odin will, once you do this, begin the search for your smartphone. When it’s found it, a sign in blue will come up. This way, your phone and laptop will have been plugged to one another.
  4. Move on by adding the firmware file to AP / PDA, then do this: check both Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. But remember to leave Re-partition unchecked. “Start“ is the option to tap in case you can’t wait to install the upgrade firmware on your phone.
  5. Once the previous option is clicked on, the handset will begin the flashing process. The time it takes for this to be over is about 13 minutes. If more than that passes, you need to repeat the steps again.
  6. But, if “Pass” is present on your phone in a green background, you’ll know that the smartphone is ready to reboot.
  7. After the previous happen, you will be given green light to unplug your products from each other. Removing the USB cable will greatly help with this.
  8. [sc name=”banner-jos”]The new Jelly Bean UBUBND2 official firmware is, from now on, available on your Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE (Latin) SM-N7505L. To enjoy this update, we need you to do this: tap Settings, then make sure About Phone is also tapped.

If there’s something you don’t like about the goodies, the previous ROM can be brought back. The way to do that is via the NANDroid backup file. After the old ROM returns, your device’s upgrade process will unfortunately be restored.
