Update Galaxy Note 3 Duos SM-N9002 to Android 4.3 ZNUDMK1 Official Firmware

In case you ordered your Galaxy Note 3 Duos SM-N9002 shortly after it was launched in October 2013, here’s what you can do with it next: update it to Android 4.3 via ZNUDMK1 official firmware. You’ll have our guide to help you with this important procedure.

The tool that’s present in today’s post was launched recently, just last month. You should use it on the Galaxy Note 3 Duos N9002, the Chinese version. If your smartphone is not this one, use another tutorial to update your phone; this one will only brick your device along with everything important in it.

The new Jelly Bean ZNUDMK1 prides itself on the fact that it doesn’t bring bugs on your device; instead, it helps it perform at the highest level possible. If your phone is running a custom ROM, there’s nothing stopping you from updating it to the new firmware. That is, if you don’t mind this happening in case the handset is rooted: the system partition being deleted and the root access being revoked. Should you own a rooted version, though, the important data on it, as well as the internal / external SD cards, will not go away / be erased.

Requirements

If you’ve acknowledged the pros and cons of updating your smartphone, you’re ready to take a look at these pre-requisites:

• keep close the USB cord that comes with your smartphone;
• use only a laptop or comp that comes pre-installed with Windows;
• check the charge level of your phone and, if the battery is running low, charge it;

Instructions

1. When you’re finished with these requirements, we ask that you do the following: save the two packages on the same device, unzip them both and then boot your SM-N9002 in Download Mode.
2. The booting should be performed via these instructions: press and simultaneously hold Volume Down, Power and Home. Then we recommend you to go to where you saved the Odin and open it as Admin on the PC/laptop.
3. After that use the phone’s USB cable to create a connection between it and the other device. After a connection is finally established, you should see an “Added!!” and an ID:COM colored in yellow. But should you not come across these two signs, you need to do this: choose a different USB port to make use of or flash the USB drivers again.
4. Now follow our lead and perform these tasks: click on PDA, opt for a file that has CODE in its name, click on Phone, choose a file with a MODEM in the name, tap CSC, choose a file with CSC in the name, click on PIT and go for a file which should have .pit as its extension in the name.
5. Now consider these instructions: after you are done checking the boxes called Re-partition, F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot, you need to begin the firmware’s installation by tapping “Start“. Now have patience until the firmware is flashed.
6. When it is, your smartphone will reboot and then deliver a message saying “Pass“. The second you see the message from earlier, you should disconnect the handset from the comp or laptop to complete the tutorial.
