How to Root Galaxy S Duos S7562 on Android 4.0.4 ICS Firmware
If you know how to do it properly, rooting is one of the most enjoyable actions. And one from which you reap a lot of benefits in the grand scheme of things. In this post we are going to tackle the matter on how to root Samsung’s Galaxy S Duos S7562 on Android 4.0.4 ICS Firmware.
Requirements
We will provide you with the exact tools, though not before alerting you on the requirements which apply here. The latter are as follows: install a custom recovery image (preferably ClockworkMod Recovery), install USB drivers for this smartphone, create backups (which should include both apps and personal data), charge the battery if it shows signs of being weak, turn on USB Debugging and make sure the Duos S7562 is factory unlocked.
Other than the pre-requisites above you need to concentrate on the steps you are about to see from us.
Important instructions
- The step with number one all over it says the following: download to the laptop, plug the handset to the latter, wait for them to fully connect to one another and then copy + paste the CWM-SuperSU-v0.96.zip to the phone’s very own SD card (check to see if the file got saved to the memory card root).
- Then move on to the next step, which tells you to shut the Galaxy S Duos S7562 down. Once it’s turned off, you need to unplug it from the computer and reboot into Recovery Mode. From experience, this is achieved easily: just turn the device on while simultaneously pressing + holding Volume Up, Volume Down and Power.
- [sc name=”banner-jos”]In order to proceed to other actions, step three will require this from you: find Flash zip from SD card.
- Tap on Power and this option will be chosen. Press Power one more time, opt for Choose zip from SD card and then go to the CWM-SuperSU–v0.96.zip with the buttons labelled Volume.
- Choose this file by pressing on Power, then confirm its installation. After you do that, the phone will go into installation mode and, once that’s done, you will have to go to +++go back+++.
- For step number six you will need to opt for Reboot System Now in order to have the Duos S7562 reboot. After a couple of minutes, your smartphone will have been rooted and received an Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware at last. If the tool called SuperSU is on the list of your phone’s apps, then the process went according to plan.
