Install Jelly Bean 4.2.2 XXUBMGA Official Firmware on Galaxy Grand Duos GT-I9082

How to flash XXUBMGA

You should kick things off by downloading Odin tool v3.07 (available here) and (file name: I9082XXUBMGA_I9082OXEBMGA_SER.zip) on your notebook.
Continue by following these guidelines: unzip the two zip files, then switch the handset off to boot it into Download Mode. The following should apply when entering the smartphone in that mode:
– simultaneously press and hold down Home, Volume Down and Power;
– a message of warning should be expected next;
– press Volume Up.
To run Odin tool v3.07.exe (which is a file that’s part of the Odin tool 3.07 zip file) as Admin for the next part of the guide, you should:
– find odin.exe file;
– right-click on it;
– head over to your handset’s context menu;
– tap the option “Run as administrator“.
After you plug the handset to the notebook, you need to first wait and see if the devices are really connected to one another. That will happen once a COM port number goes yellow and “Added” is on the screen.
Flash those USB Drivers again or use another USB port if your I9082 and the PC are not plugged to each other like they should be. Follow these instructions to flash the files you will see there:
– tap PDA;
– choose a .tar.md5 file;
– tap Phone;
– choose a file that has MODEM in it;
– tap CSC;
– opt for a CSC file;
– tap PIT;
– locate and choose a .pit file.
There are certain boxes that must be ticked now: F. Reset Time, Auto Reboot and Re-partition (the .pit file should be opted for above so that you can check the latter box).
As soon as the 3 options have been carefully selected, you should begin the installation of the update firmware by tapping START. The end of the flashing process should make your handset restart; and it should also make it display PASS in a green background.
