Guide: Flash UltimaROM for Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300
There’s another custom ROM we want to talk to you about. Its name draws inspiration from the Final Fantasy games and its role is to bring all sorts of interesting stuff to Samsung’s Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
The name of this almighty custom ROM is UltimaROM. It was created, as usual, by a member of the XDA Developers forum. And, with such a name, you’re guaranteed plenty of exciting experiences. And it’s true, we tested it for ourselves and liked what we saw. In today’s article we will tell you how to flash it on your handset as easy as saying “1, 2, 3”.
Requirements
So,
if you own a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, you’re good to go. Just keep in mind that you need to assure certain requirements before proceeding with the flashing. Which requirements sound like this: perform a full backup, recharge the phone battery, install ClockworkMod Recovery (if it’s not already installed) and download on your laptop/PC.
Which brings us to the steps you have to follow to flash the UltimaROM 2.4 for the I9300. And they go something like this.
Important instructions
- First, be sure that you have copied to the internal memory card on your device. This needs to be followed by shutting down the phone.
- The second step is to enter in the phone’s Recovery Mode. What better way to do that than like this: select at the same time the Volume Up, Home and Power keys.
- For step 3, do the following: perform a full NANDroid Backup using the Backup and Restore option.

- After this step comes the fifth one, which tells us to opt for Install ZIP from SD card, then Choose ZIP from SD card.
- For step number 6 you need to choose the UltimaROM file and then do what you are told on the phone’s display. Finally, restart the entire system.
It wasn’t that hard, right? Now that you flashed the UltimaROM on your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, you can fully experience all kinds of niceties.
