Future Android 4.3 to keep Jelly Bean name
Android 4.3, the newest version of the most popular operating system, will seemingly keep its usual name: Jelly Bean. Which is a major surprise, since everyone was expecting it to be called 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Android Police were the ones to reveal this via Artem Russakovskii, their founder. The site’s log file have recently been proven to contain tests for both Nexus 7 and Nexus 4. More precisely: the screenshot that was published by the website shows something by the name of 4.3 JWR23B for Android. Another proof: Google Chromium bug tracker contains comments which mention the JWR23B, too.
The “J” that is contained in the pic goes to show that this might indeed be about Android keeping its old name of Jelly Bean. The IP location ranges seem to come from employees working over at Google. The latter are also responsible for other leaks in recent past.
Key Lime Pie was expected to be launched at the annual Google I/O event. If all of the above comes true, and because no leak came out about the 5.0 Key Lime Pie, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean might very well make an appearance at the American company’s event which will be happening soon.

Still, this is nothing official yet, so who knows what Google has in store for everyone in the upcoming months.
What the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will feature is only speculation. But specialists think that the features might just stay the same on this new operating system. There will probably be only a few new things to look forward to. What consumers would like to see is more stability than now.
The release of the Key Lime Pie version of Android could happen somewhere at the end of this year. Hopefully for consumers it will happen earlier. The Google I/O event will be sure to show what the company plans on doing for the near future.
