Install Carbon Jelly Bean 4.3 Nightly custom ROM on Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105

Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105 can end up with many more attributes than it currently displays. Android 4.3 operating system version is one of them. The other ones can be tasted after you update the phone to Carbon JB Nightly custom ROM.

Requirements

To see all of the changes that your smartphone is ready to embrace thanks to this update, you must, beforehand, fully consider the requirements in the list below:

Important instructions

The above are only an introduction. The real deal can now begin.

  1. After the packages from the pre-requisites have been flashed and saved on your laptop, you should extract them with a tool.
  2. Then plug the GT-N7105 to the notebook through the former’s respective USB cord and after that take those files you unzipped and move them to the handset’s SD card root. Unplug your smartphone from your laptop once the files have been transferred there, then switch the Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105 off.
  3. Afterwards you will have to enter the latter in Recovery Mode using these tips. In case you haven’t made a full NANDroid backup or you don’t know how it’s done: we have two short guides on that, depending on the custom recovery your handset boasts. If it’s the TWRP one, you will be required to opt for “Backup”, then choose whatever it is you want to backup and confirm this. If the CWM is what you’ve decided to install, then opt for Backup & Restore, then confirm.
  4. You will also be asked to apply a Factory Reset afterwards. To do that in case you use TWRP, you have to tap “Wipe”, choose Factory Reset and then simply confirm the process; if, however, CWM is used, you should choose Factory Reset/Wipe Data and then operate a confirmation.
  5. After the procedures on here are over, you can begin the flashing of the update firmware. As such (for the TWRP-running device): choose Install zip from SD card, opt for Choose zip from SD card, select the new firmware .zip file and confirm. To install the latter on a CWM-running phone, you can opt for Install, select the file and confirm its flashing.
  6. Then do the same as above for the installation of the Google Apps. As the process is ended, you have to be back in the Recovery Mode from where you should reboot the phone; there’s an option which does this and it’s called Reboot the phone, so choose it.
  7. [sc name=”banner-jos”]In case nothing bad happened along the way, your phone has the Carbon JB Nightly Android 4.3 custom firmware. When its home screen pops up, you can go to your Gmail, enter your details there and rejoice in your updated smartphone!

In case there’s a boot loop which your phone has to deal with: switch your Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105 off, redo the guide and that’s that.

You can get rid of the ROM you installed in case you’re not its fan: go back to the NANDroid backup and use it to have the phone’s old ROM back on it.
