Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 with Specs, Image and Price

South Korean manufacturer Samsung has just unveiled two fresh new devices that belong to the Galaxy line: Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3.

The models are a hybrid between a tablet and a phone and they are both very comfortable to take on a long road, for instance, thanks to their portability feature.

The Galaxy Mega 5.8 may not have an official price tag as of yet, but it does have a list of measurements, weight and specifications, the latter of which we will give in a bit. The device weighs 182 g and has a body of 162.6 mm x 82.4 mm x 9 mm.

Here are the specs we promised in the beginning: a 5.8-inch TFT qHD screen which means a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, two cameras that are the same ones boasted by its sibling (meaning a 1.9-megapixel shooter on the device’s front and a 8-megapixel camera on the rear offering continuous image shooting along with HDR role), a Li-Ion 2,600 mAh battery, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as its operating system and TouchWiz as its UI, 1.5 GB of RAM, a 1.4 GHz dual-core CPU and 8GB of internal internal storage (the addition of one single microSD card slot translates into a maximum of 64 GB should you want more storage space than the one available).

In terms of connectivity, the Mega 5.8 works only with the following: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and HSPA+ networks. Like in the case of the Galaxy Mega 6.3, we have no idea yet if this model can work with the company’s Game Pad accessory.

Both the manufacturer’s Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 are coming in a store near you in a month’s time. But if you wish to pre-order them, you can only do so with the company’s 6.3 model because its price was not announced.
