Root Galaxy S3 I9300 on XXUFME7 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware
In the post today we will analyze the different steps needed for a successful rooting of your Galaxy S3 I9300 (the model with XXUFME7 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware on it). Just so you know: we always use the fastest and easiest steps out there for our tutorials.
Requirements
For today, we have those plus some requirements that need to happen before you root the smartphone. They sound something like this: use the model you have updated to XXUFME7 Jelly Bean 4.2.2 firmware, gather all the data inside your phone and make backups out of all of it, only use the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 model for the guide, charge the battery of your handset and turn USB Debugging on (by accessing Settings, choosing Applications, clicking on Development and then opting for the USB Debugging).
This marks the end of the part where we discussed the requirements. Now let’s find out what happens after you root the device: its warranty will practically be gone on a vacation. But there is a way to bring it back: either unroot the smartphone or apply an update containing firmware released officially by Samsung.
And so we reach the end of the segment that deals with what you should expect after the procedure ends. We are now going to delve into what exactly your tasks for the rooting must include.
Instructions
- We advise you to start off by downloading the along with Odin tool on your personal comp and then unzip them, too. Only after you are done with that can you launch the Odin on the same laptop/PC you use.
- The smartphone in your possession will need to be powered off, so do that for the time being. Then make it boot into Download Mode like this: press and hold the buttons called Volume Down, Home and Power at the same time; once your eyes rest on a green logo (belonging to Android), the handset will be in the Download Mode.
- So once you have that checked, you will have to do as follows: plug the smartphone to the laptop by helping yourself with the USB cable which is part of the Galaxy S3 I9300.
- Once you do that, these two should happen: a message saying “Added!!” will pop on the screen and an ID:COM port number is going to appear in a blue or yellow color. If that totally fails, you should flash those USB Drivers again or employ another USB port.

NOTE: Your Galaxy S3 I9300 should, by now, be rooted. In that case, you will be asked to do the following: go to Google Play Store and get an app that is called Root Checker; this instrument is the one to tell you if the smartphone has indeed been rooted or not. Should the process have been a failure, though, you can repeat the tutorial until it is a success.
For people whose handset is stuck in Welcome screen, we have these instructions to take care of the issue: after powering the device off, you need to power it back on by placing its battery unit inside and then repeat the guide. If the GT-I9300 remains in a boot loop, the same solution applies.
