LG to unveil Optimus G Pro during May 1 event
LG is going to announce the launch of something new on the 1st of May during a special event organized in New York.
At first, no one knew what it was all about when the company sent invitations to a mysterious event that would take place on May 1. A few days later, the manufacturer confirmed that they would launch Optimus G Pro in the U.S. on that very day. The South Korean manufacturer wants this new device to be a rival for Samsung’s Galaxy Note products.
The Optimus G Pro that is currently available in both South Korea and Europe has already garnered a lot of attention thanks to its specs. Which are the following: a 5.5-inch HD touchscreen that delivers 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, 2 GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, a 3,140 mAh battery, a 13MP camera on the rear and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The specifications that the Optimus G Pro – which will be unveiled in the U.S. soon – will boast will the exact same ones that are on the international variant of this smartphone. However, the radios will differ compared to that model.

The price of the U.S. variant of this handset is yet to be offered by the manufacturer. The same can be said about its price.
Ever since it was released in South Korea, LG’s Optimus G Pro has sold in over 500,000 units. The model that came before it wasn’t as popular: in four months’ time, the phone sold in only 1 million units. Everyone is betting that the new handset will be able to sell more than that in the same amount of time.
Until that happens, we will let you know when to expect the U.S. LG Optimus G Pro smartphone and how much it will cost in future posts. Don’t forget to keep an eye on us!
