Galaxy S4 Mini SGH-I257 and GT-I9195 leaked by Samsung
Samsung posted on their official website what appears to be a confirmation for their Galaxy S4 Mini today. However, if you were to check out their page a couple of hours after the confirmation, you would have no longer seen the smartphone there. So everyone is now assuming that the manufacturer unintentionally leaked this model. This device was planned to be unveiled by Samsung during their Premiere 2013 event happening on the 20th of next month.
Luckily for us, someone managed to screen capture the handset. According to the pics, the Galaxy S4 Mini will be available in two models, namely SGH-I257 and GT-I9195. From what can also be seen in the screen capture, this model looks like its bigger brother, so no shocking revelation there. The colors that will be available for this handset are, according to the photos, white, black and others which will be detailed when the smartphone appears on the manufacturer’s site again, but for good this time.
The pics of the leaked Galaxy S4 Mini look like this: a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a resolution packing 960 x 540 pixels, a dual-core 1.6 GHz CPU, a 2,100 mAh battery unit, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and an 8MP camera on the back. The operating system of this model seems to be Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The UI will be the manufacturer’s very own TouchWiz, as usual.
In the connectivity department, the phone is going to feature only 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Or so the screen capture claims. This 3G model should offer 1 GB of RAM instead. The model without 3G will be an LTE one, so its RAM will remain the same 2 GB as mentioned before.

Everything about the new model seems to follow a pattern shared by previous models. The Galaxy S3 Mini was the more inferior sibling of the Galaxy S3, just like the Galaxy S4 Mini is to the original Galaxy S4. The most notable cons will be the CPU, cam and battery. Other than that, the S4 Mini should do well on the market with the kind of specifications it seems to sport.
For now, fans of Samsung should wait and see if the manufacturer presents their Galaxy S4 Mini on the 20th of June as well as info on the price, carrier availability and official release date.
