Android 4.3 XXUBNB2 on Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE SM-P605 (2014)
In case Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE SM-P605 is performing poorly, you should try updating it to Android 4.3. The latest version will improve your tablet loads, in all sorts of ways!
The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is an OS which is easy to get for your Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P605. What you need is XXUBNB2 and a guide on how to flash it on your tablet. The firmware we mentioned has been available since February for Croatia (Vipnet). If your tablet isn’t the one specified in our tutorial, you must use a different guide. We only use the Samsung SM-P605, as does the new official firmware.
Should your gadget have already experienced a rooting, the upgrade will affect it. You will have a tablet without its system partition and root access. But the device won’t end up with damaged internal and external SD cards. Likewise, the important content you stored on your tablet won’t be affected by the new OS and firmware.
Prerequisites
You should consider these requirements next:
- if you don’t want to lose the data stored on your tablet, create as many backups as you wish;
- we recommend creating a full NANDroid backup;
- the battery unit of your Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE SM-P605 must be charged;
- turn on USB Debugging on it;
- your laptop’s operating system needs to be Windows and only Windows;
- find USB drivers for the tablet over here;
- download them on your notebook next;
- disable all of the security programs installed on the tablet;
- disable the security programs running on the notebook.
Step by step instructions
The newest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version is known for its many goodies. When it lands on your tablet, you will have access to new apps and a wide variety of customization options. The battery will go on much longer than now and new features will also be delivered. You don’t have to fear security problems from this OS or firmware.
If you are convinced of the necessity of an update, you will now learn how to perform it.
- You should begin by keeping your notebook open so that the Android 4.3 JB XXUBNB2 for Croatia (Vipnet) can be downloaded on it . You should then save this package and afterwards go here to download Odin v3.09 on your notebook.
- It’s now recommended to have these packages unzipped on that device. Which is where WinRar (or WinZip) come into action. Use one of these tools for the unzipping, then open Odin v3.09.exe (one of the files contained in the Odin v3.09 package) on the laptop.
- Enter the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTESM-P605 in Download Mode next. For this step, do as follows: press and hold, together, the buttons Home, Power and Volume Down together. When a display with a boot message in it pops up, stop doing what you were doing and press the key Volume Up.
- What comes next is this: plug, with the tablet’s USB cord, the gadget to your notebook and have patience. After a few minutes, a sign in blue will be delivered by Odin. Once the connection is established, your task is to do this: add the firmware file to AP /PDA.
- Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are two boxes that need ticking. When you’ve checked each of them as instructed, you have to uncheck Re-partition (because it will be checked already). Then kick start the installation of the XXUBNB2.
- To begin this process, tap “Start” and wait about 12 minutes. When the flashing is done, you will be greeted by “Pass” in a green background and the tablet shall automatically reboot. If the gadget restarts as planned, you need to unplug it from the laptop.
- [sc name=”banner-jos”]With that, the new firmware is now on your Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE SM-P605! To verify it and use it, do as follows: tap Settings on your tablet, then be sure to tap About Tablet.
The XXUBNB2 can prove frustrating. Or you may miss the old ROM. If any of this happens, you can use the NANDroid backup file from earlier. The use of this file is this: it helps restore your tablet to its former ROM quickly.
