Acer announce their first 5.7-inch Liquid S1 phablet
A new phablet has just been announced and it’s the creation of Acer: Liquid S1. And it will cost €349. The gadget was revealed to hold a 5.7-inch as its main attraction. Something that will undoubtedly attract the attention of users looking for generous displays.
According to the manufacturer, the phablet was thought for consumers who want a gadget to accompany them on professional trips as well as recreational ones. In order to appeal to such people, Acer pre-installed several apps for the two purposes of use mentioned above.
The first phablet that Acer has ever made will ship with a 5.7-inch display as mentioned, a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, one microSD card slot that will help you get more than the default 8 GB of internal storage space, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as an operating system, a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. The battery that sustains the Liquid S1 is 2,400 mAh. Curious about cameras? This phablet sports the following: an 8MP one on the back and a 1MP one on its front. The former is accompanied, among many other features and options, by LED flash. The battery should last throughout a day. Or so Acer have said.
The user interface brought on by the gadget is Acer Float User. With this type of UI, the owner of the Liquid S1 can perform several actions at the same time without encountering performance issues.
The novel gadget is going to have the sort of looks that will appeal to the two categories of users we discussed earlier. Which, according to the manufacturer, means side grips made of aluminum and a body that’s entirely thin. The two main colors of the Liquid S1 are these: white and matte black.

Now for the apps that are integrated on the phablet. You will get to play with Voice Unlock, Voice Shot, Float Apps shortcut, camera apps, notes apps, maps apps and many others. The Voice Shot one will help you snap pics by saying “Cheese!”, while the Float Apps can deliver a translucent display which contains shortcuts to the apps on your phablet. To make your device’s audio quality better, you should use the app called Studio Sound.
The countries that will first see the Acer Liquid S1 are the following: Germany, the UK, France, Belgium, Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, Ukraine and Spain. These countries will get access to the smartphone from July onward. Certain regions of the world will have the phablet with dual-SIM support.
