SmartQ U7: first Android tablet with projector

There is a new type of gadget in town: a tablet with a projector.

Technology has recently marked an important event in its history, namely the launch of the SmartQ U7. The company behind this new device is not as known as others. The release of the U7 was their idea of entering the gadget market with something that had not been done before. Which is a tablet that comes with projector, tablet which uses an Android operating system.

The specs that are sported by this brand new product look like this: 854 x 480 pixels of resolution for its projector which is a 40 lumen one, a 7″ display, an Android OS, a 4800mAH battery, a resolution made of 1,024 x 600 pixels, a 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP 4460 with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage for one of its models and a dual-core 1GHz OMAP 4430 CPU with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage for the other model. The SmartQ U7 can, according to the manufacturer, be employed for a total of 20,000 hours. And its resolution makes it easy to send images even if it’s used 6 feet away from the user.

Connectivity is offered via Bluetooth, one audio jack and 1 HDMI port. There is also a microSD card slot on board.SmartQ-U7

Some reputable specialist blogs have already written that the SmartQ U7 is a device which makes it easy for consumers working in the entertainment industry, and not only them, to enjoy this tablet with a built-in projector without carrying an optional projector with you.

But SmartQ has other news, too. This year they will also launch a gadget called X7. The specs of this new product are also sounding good. We are talking about 16GB flash of internal storage, an 1280 x 800 touchscreen of the IPS variety, two cameras of 2MP, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and 2GB of RAM. The user interface is the Cyanogenmod. Connectivity is via Bluetooth, GPS, a microSD card slot and Wi-Fi. The SmartQ X7 was created by the company to rival names such as Google Nexus 7, Amazon’s newest tablet and many more.

The SmartQ U7 may not sound like much if you look at the name of the manufacturer first. But don’t judge a book by its cover just yet. This tablet that incorporates a projector is very interesting and a novelty on the market.

I am not very sure how effective this tablet will be. The projector life must be limited because of the lack of the space which determine overheating.

Thank you for your comment Brian. I believe in few years, all the
tablets will have incorporated new functionality, such this one, for
example. I am very curious to see which success will have on the market.
