Update Galaxy Camera GC110 to XXAMC4 Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Official Firmware
Galaxy Camera GC110 is the star of our guide this time around. That is because we wish to see it updated to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with XXAMC4.
Create a backup via this guide before anything else happens, then use a laptop that ships with Windows (if, however, your OS of choice is either Mac or Linux, you have to simply find and use CrossOver Utility instead), charge the camera’s battery to the max should you notice a need for that, turn on USB debugging and install USB Drivers for the Camera on your computer.
Important instructions
- The actions that you need to operate for the first step are these: download and Odin tool 3.07 on your laptop, extract both of these files and find the files that are named Odin3 v3.07.exe and .tar, then power the GC110 off.
- Download Mode should be entered now. To gain access to this mode, do this: press and hold together Volume Down, Camera and Power; if “Warning!” is seen on the screen, then you have to press Volume Up. The Download Mode is finally reached.
- Run the Odin3 tool using the Administrator rights by using your mouse to choose the file and afterwards tapping, from the camera’s context menu, on Run as administrator.
- For the following step, the fourth, you should plug the Galaxy Camera GC110 to the comp, then “Added!!” should pop on the display; if, by any chance, no such message appears, then you can opt between either installing the driver again or employing a different kind of USB port.
- Opt for a file with CODE in its title file when you click on PDA, then select a file with MODEM in its name once you click on Phone, choose the file bearing CSC in its title after you click on CSC, then opt for a .pit file as soon as you tap on PIT. When this is completed, you need to remain in Odin to enable F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot if neither of these options is checked. If neither of the files from the list above appears, move on to the next step.
- Which is number six: check Repartition as soon as you have chosen the .pit file, then hit Start when you are done with everything. Now the installation of the update can begin; it will not take an eternity to end. When the flashing is done, you have to have patience till the Galaxy Camera GC110 restarts.
- [sc name=”banner-jos”]Step seven will ask you to see if “PASS” (and a background in green on Odin’s box on the top left of the screen) is on the display and, if it is, you should turn to the camera and the laptop and disconnect them from one another.
- You are able to start enjoying the features brought by the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on your Galaxy Camera GC110.
Every one of the tutorials that are on the Internet (including ours) will encounter problems at some point. Should your camera say something like “MD5 hash value is invalid” during the procedure, then your move should include the following: download the XXAMC4 once more till you solve the problem.
