Sony Xperia L leaks suggest 4.3-inch display and 8MP camera

From specs leaked already on the Internet not too long ago, Sony seems to be preparing a new handset to be released this year.

It was high time Sony came with something fresh on the smartphone market. However, even if nothing has been confirmed so far by the manufacturer about this new handset, rumors have already peaked on the World Wide Web. And they’re talking about a model which is called Sony Xperia L. Some of its specs have also been leaked. And they sound like this: the Xperia L will offer a 4.3 inch touchscreen that will sport a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels in total, a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 8GB of internal storage and an Adreno 305 graphics processor unit.

Moreover, besides harboring the dimension we mentioned, the display seems to be of the FWVGA variety. These are the most important specifications. But there is more to ponder over. The battery will probably be an 1,700 mAh unit, the operating system is rumored to be Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and the camera should sport an amount of 8 megapixels and have an Exmor RS in tow. How about a microSD card? The leaks mention the presence of that one, too.sony-xperia-logo

From what the leaks continue to show, the Xperia L will boast the following dimensions: 128.7 x 65 x 9.7 mm. So even if the specs don’t have that “wow” element to them, the dimensions mean that this model won’t be as heavy as the company’s S version.

How about the material which this phone is made of? According to the same rumors, the body will be covered in aluminum and the rear will seemingly feature plastic, just like Sony Xperia SP. Other hearsay claims that its design will be similar to the Xperia Z.

Specialists are already comparing this rumored handset to the manufacturer’s J model, albeit the L sounding better than that one in many aspects.

The leaks don’t have anything to say about when the Sony Xperia L will become available. Or what its price is going to be. But if the manufacturer sticks to the release date of their SP model, then the L could very well be launched at the same time.
