Samsung Smartwatch In The Works
Samsung finally announced that they would launch a smartwatch.
Rumors have been ripe for a while now. Their target has been South Korean manufacturer Samsung and their wish to reveal something they’ve been developing diligently. An official confirmation has finally landed today. Lee Young Hae, Samsung executive vice president, released a statement for Bloomberg. According to the latter, the company wishes to dive into new territory from now on. And this smartwatch is one of the first stages of this plan.
Samsung is famous for releasing smartphones and tablets. This decision of theirs to explore other gadgets is very welcome, especially considering that Apple is also rumored to be working on something similar.
Bloomberg reports that the new device offered by Samsung doesn’t yet come with official specs and features. But everyone around the globe dreams of a gadget that would be able to allow them to view end calls, emails, and various other tasks that an Android device would offer.
Specialists are expecting a smartwatch that would sport Android as its operating system. Also, they think that the device should be able to be a sort of second screen which would easily be connected to an Android gadget. Among other possibilities that such a Samsung device could offer: control over various media that generally comes with a handset.

Here are some of the leaked specs of this smartwatch: 500 x 500 pixels of resolution and 235 MB of internal storage. The device is rumored to come with a maps icon, apps for music, a clock and apps for email and SMS.
Samsung is facing quite a competition already after their announcement today. How so? Well, Pebble are the first who started offering smartwatches. So the South Korean company should come with something that they don’t have. And a good price.
Speaking of which: no official word has been given on how much Samsung’s new invention would cost. Or when it would be launched.
