HTC One with 5+ inch touchscreen to arrive soon
HTC wants to offer One in a 5-inch model. This phablet is aimed at people who want an alternative to Galaxy Note 3.
Seeing that Samsung have not unveiled their Galaxy Note 3 yet, HTC wants to be one step ahead. The Taiwanese manufacturer have announced that they would launch their HTC One in a bigger version soon.
According to Pockelint, HTC is going to present their very first phablet. The device is said to have somewhere between 5 and 6 inches of screen estate. The display will probably be HD. If the manufacturer sticks to their plan, their One phablet could be unveiled in the upcoming months. A release in stores could happen at the beginning of this autumn.
The latest device coming from HTC might include the following specifications: a processor that is more than 1.7 GHz and an Adreno GPU of over 320.
In comparison, the original HTC One is a smartphone that sports a 4.7-inch full HD Super LCD3 touchscreen, 32/64 GB of internal storage, Snapdragon 600 SoC, a 4MP camera with 1.3 inch sensor size as well as UltraPixel technology and 2 GB of RAM. Connectivity purposes are fulfilled by Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, one microUSB 2.0 connector, an IR port and WiFi.

The looks of the original HTC One, a rightful contender to the Galaxy S4, are made appealing by its metallic body which is of premium quality. The HTC One with its bigger display should feature the same great material. Which is not the case with Samsung’s upcoming phablet made of the same plastic as usual.
Phablets are gaining more and more interest from many popular manufacturers. And, because Samsung seems to be leading this segment in terms of popularity, other companies want a share of the success. HTC has joined them with their future One 5+ inch touchscreen model. Samsung should watch their backs once the device is officially launched on the market.
