How to Unroot Sony Xperia P
If unrooting didn’t exist, the life of a gadget freak wouldn’t be complete. How come? Well, we wouldn’t have a way to undo everything that a rooting operation would do to a tablet, a smartphone and so on. So yay for the person who invented the unrooting to enable us to retrieve the warranty that we just lost. The phone we selected as our testing target is Sony’s Xperia P.
And to also help us return to the features we used to take for granted before. But anyway, after finding this out, the next thing to do is read about something called either “requirements” or “pre-requisites”. They are the path to follow in order to reap the benefits of an unrooting.
Requirements
We have already written a guide on how to root Sony Xperia P. So you should have used that one in case you now wish to see it unrooted. That’s one of the requirements.
Another one is this: the laptop that this tutorial is aimed at is one with Windows pre-installed. Don’t use a comp running another operating system; it will ruin your handset. But we don’t want to scare you, so here are the steps that you must follow if you want the procedure to lack any sort of issues. Don’t forget the backups of your important data.
Important instructions
- The very first step on the list is telling you to find the file whose name is . The location it now needs to be in is your laptop’s desktop.
- When this has been complied with, your next move is to proceed to the second step: the file in question needs to have its contents extracted to the desktop.

To bring this to a good ending, you have to go to your phone’s Menu, then click on Settings and on Developer options and, lastly, choose USB debugging and tick the box sitting close to it. When this is done, you will be asked to connect the Xperia P to the laptop and double-click on RunMe.bat.
- For the fourth step you are requested to do this: opt for Unroot. When you see that the handset has finished this operation, you will have to reboot it and experience your phone being able to offer the same features, options and possibilities that it displayed before you decided to root it. Oh, and the warranty will, as promised, come back to you.
