Leaks of HTC One Max show massive phablet

Not too long ago, Taiwanese manufacturer HTC was the center of lots of rumors about a smartphone they were preparing for the masses. The code name of the device was said to be HTC T6. Those rumors were then replaced by leaks that showed the supposed set of features and also specifications of that handset. Among those specs: a 5-inch touchscreen.

Recently, new rumors and leaks have surfaced for everyone to ponder over. According to them, the new smartphone is, in fact, a phablet whose name has been changed: HTC One Max. And the first thing that strikes anyone looking at the leaks is that the design of this model is not that different from how the One variant looks like.

Analyst Alvin Kwock is the one who has discussed the blueprint which was leaked earlier today. This sort of visual treat of the new phablet seems to contain a couple of the specifications which people over at @evleaks showed not too long ago on their official Twitter page. Looking at the blueprint that is all over the Internet by now, the HTC One Max is going to sport a very generous touchscreen: 5.9 inches.htc-one-max

The resolution of this full HD massive display looks to be 1080p. The thickness of the phablet is, by looking at the photo, 9.4 mm; the length is 140,4 mm. Which is not that much compared to the HTC One model. Apart from the measurements of the touchscreen, we can also see the following: a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qaulcomm Snapdragon 800 series processor, 16 GB of internal storage space, 2 GB of RAM, a 3,300 mAh battery and possibly Android Key Lime Pie which should be the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean variant.

There is also a camera on this device. And it looks like it is a 2,1-megapixel model with UltraPixel technology.

IFA 2013 is an annual event that will start in September. The HTC One Max may become available before or even after this event. But we will wait for official details from HTC themselves before jumping to the completely wrong conclusions.

Mobileaks have recently written that the phablet would have a wider body than the original HTC One. But the blueprint does not confirm it. So let’s just see what the Taiwanese manufacturer decides to announce in the upcoming days. All we can say is: if the leaks prove to be the real deal, we should have a great time experimenting with this new device!
