HTC Droid DNA SIM card error fixed with a new update

HTC Droid DNA used to have a SIM card error whenever owners wanted to use the smartphone. But a new update is here to solve the problem for good.

The update that is currently everyone’s talk of the town was created when both HTC and Verizon Wireless put their heads together in order to find a way to get rid of the “SIM card error” message. According to Verizon Wireless, the problem with the SIM card is going to be fixed via an update sometime this week.

To make sure you get this update, you should have a good working Wi-Fi connection on your Droid DNA and then flash the update once it’s released. htc-droid-dna

The upgrade, which promises to fix the bug that’s currently on the phone, is going to come in the form of 33 MB. This is all that Verizon chose to divulge on the matter. The current update comes after the one in February this year. Many are expecting other great things from it.

However, if your Droid DNA does not show you the “SIM card error” message, then you should be able to continue using the phone without a worry. Meanwhile, the people who have reported this problem are more than anxious to flash the update on their devices. The 33 MB upgrade that will land this week is going to feature software version 710RD on the Droid DNA.

The current operating system will not be modified to another version, so don’t worry. Once the update arrives, you will have to remember to keep the handset’s Wi-Fi connection on, get the update, install it on the phone and then use it. Here is how to gain access to it: go to Settings, choose About phone and then select the Software updates options. After spotting the latter, look for the update and see if everything is alright again.
