How to Root Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-I545

Galaxy S4 SCH-I545 (Verizon version) will be launched in Europe, the U.S. and various other regions soon. So, until that happens, you can keep in mind our guide on how to root it as soon as you finally get your excited hands on it.

The specifications of this particular model include the following offerings: Adreno 320 as its graphics processor unit, a 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait 300 processor and many others.

Requirements

Once you are ready to root the phone, you can expect many different and new features; such as the possibility to flash root-only applications, custom ROMs and so on.

First, however, we need to let you know the following: make a backup of the current data on your smartphone in order to keep it where it is after you root the device, get the official USB drivers for it, turn on USB debugging and then charge the battery of your I545.

Important instructions

  1. First step to attract your full attention goes like this: download on your notebook and extract it when you’re done saving it.Galaxy-S4-SCH-I545
  2. A second thing you should perform: the folder that is now containing the files of the archive should have a file called CF-Auto-Root-sghi727-sghi727-samsungsghi727.tar.md5 somewhere inside it. After checking if this file is, indeed, on the laptop, we recommend you to also check that USB Drivers for your phone are flashed on your computer (if not, find them online and download them to the latter).
  3. The second step is now upon us and it asks us to tell you that you have to enable USB debugging on the Galaxy S4 I545.
  4. Step three needs to happen in the following way: launch the folder you extracted the archive to (do this only if your laptop runs Windows; however, if it uses Linux or Mac, then you need to launch the content of the extracted archive using the Command line and typing “./run.sh” and run it afterwards). Now have the handset plugged to your PC with the help of ADB.
  5. Pretty soon, the Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-I545 is going to start the rooting procedure and end it after a couple of minutes. When it’s done, it will let you know via a message popping on the touchscreen.

Have lots of fun times with your freshly rooted smartphone!
